logo.gif    International Elephant Conservation & Research Symposium 2010

This important international Symposium is held at the Kwalata Game Ranch in South Africa from January 25 to 29, 2010 and will concentrate on the research and conservation needs of captive and wild populations of elephants.

Researchers from around the world will present their conservation projects and research results on human-elephant conflict, population management, health, nutrition, reproduction and behavior.

ASERC funded the participation of two Sri Lankan elephant specialist who will present their work at the conference and are on the program with the following talks:

The Vienna Zoo funded the participation of Harald M. Schwammer, Founder of the ASERC, Chair of African Elephant EEP and GEMP (Global Elephant Management Program), Board Member of IEF (International Elephant Foundation) who will present the following talks:
